How we work
Operating model, then systems, then people
Most work management programmes fail in one of two ways. They buy a system and hope the process follows, or they redesign the process and never touch the data underneath it. We work the layers in order, because each one depends on the one above.

The three layers
01
Operating model and process. How the work is meant to flow, who owns each step, and what good looks like at each handover. Nothing downstream is worth building until this is settled.
02
Enterprise systems and master data. The system configured to the process, and the master data that decides whether the system produces work anyone can trust. Functional locations, equipment, task lists, bills of material, work centres, measuring points.
03
People capability and adoption. The roles trained in the actual model and the actual system, assessed against a standard, and coached until the new behaviour survives contact with a bad week.
The three together produce sustainable operational performance. Any one of them alone produces a report.
The six steps
Step 1
Assess
Where the cycle stands today, measured rather than described. Schedule compliance, PM compliance, backlog age, planned versus reactive ratio, and the master data health underneath them.
Step 2
Design
The target operating model, the roles, the routines and the KPI framework, built for your environment rather than lifted from a template.
Step 3
Build
Configuration, master data structures, standards, work packs, reports.
Step 4
Implement
Cutover and go-live, with the assurance work that catches what testing missed.
Step 5
Train
Role-based development, competence assessment and train-the-trainer, so the capability stays after we leave.
Step 6
Embed
Coaching clinics, the management routines, and the health reviews that keep the cycle honest once the programme is over.
The front door
Where the free delivery review sits
Every engagement starts with the same thing, and it costs you nothing. We run a structured review of your work management cycle using ViMSOR, our own method for turning a messy operational situation into a set of decisions you can act on. You get the findings whether or not you engage us.
The review answers three questions.
- Where the cycle is actually breaking, measured rather than assumed.
- Which layer the fix belongs in, because a training problem and a master data problem look identical from a distance.
- What the smallest useful first step is.
Our operating rule
Agents draft, people decide
DBiLL is rebuilding itself AI-first, and our practitioners carry more work because reports, status packs and risk logs increasingly draft themselves with a person checking before anything leaves the building. We teach your planning office to work the same way, so a lean team carries more work without cutting corners.
